ring in the New Year in LA
No plans yet? No worries. There are still plenty of fun things to do around town that don’t require any reservation or tickets at all. Xpress has put together a short guide of things you can do on the 31st as the countdown commences.

For one of the biggest New Year’s events in the state, check out N.Y.E.L.A., an event that draws thousands of Angelenos to watch the countdown projected onto City Hall’s exterior. Dance away the early hours of the new year in Grand Park during this free street party.

For the rare bar-celebration with no cover required, make a stop at Angel City Brewery. From limited-edition brews on tap to live music and entertainment all year long, grab your 21+ group and head to the food trucks to ring in the New Year with a full belly.

For a free fireworks show, make your way over to Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey. With a glo party starting at 7pm that includes live DJs, face painting, dance performances, bubbles, a photo booth, food trucks and more, this is the perfect New Year’s event for the whole family!

If you’re not too tired after the night’s festivities, the Rose Parade will kick off at 8 am. This parade was first begun in 1890, and features magical parade floats, live performances, marching bands, and the freshly crowned Rose Queen, all ending with the big Rose Bowl football game.

As always, make your reservation soon for any winter transportation reservations you may need – don’t leave your New Year’s ride to chance! Our chauffeurs will get you to and from your destination safely and comfortably.
