If you’re in the area mid-July, Santa Barbara hosts one of the best wine festivals in the country. The California Wine Festival is not to be missed. From July 13th through the 15th, enjoy the finest vintage wines and gourmet food. The three day event holds wine tastings and lively music events – a wonderful way to spend the summer.
This years exhibiting wineries include dozens of vineyards, from near and far. A full list is available here. Your ticket entitles you to unlimited wine tastings, and with hundreds to choose from you’re sure to come away satisfied! Please drink responsibly – spit buckets are available, and be sure to pace yourself while drinking plenty of water.
A variety of food purveyors provide delicious options for every taste, and new vendors are added daily. The website has more information on cuisine, including options for vegetarians. If you have allergies, make sure to look at the menus and plan accordingly.
Tickets are available on the festival website or at the gate – although ticket prices are higher on site. For groups larger than 20, email for group rates. This event is 21+, and no infants or animals are allowed on the grounds. The dress code is casual elegant, and please dress accordingly – no t-shirts or cut-offs are permitted.
